WHERE? Varazdin, Capuchin Square
Deafblind people will walk 500 meters through the streets of Varaždin along with interpreters, who will provide support and assistance throughout the race. This symbolic shared step demonstrates the strength, courage and independence of deafblind people and the importance of inclusion in society.
Deafblindness is a specific sensory impairment that involves simultaneous hearing and vision loss to varying degrees. Despite the challenges, deafblind people are incredibly capable and overcome obstacles every day with the help of various communication methods and adaptations. This race is an opportunity to support them, raise awareness about deafblindness, and show that obstacles only exist if we don't try to overcome them!
